چکیده
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Radio Occultation (RO) data play an essential role in improving numerical weather prediction (NWP) and monitoring climate change. The NOAA Commercial RO Purchase Program (CDP) purchased provided by Spire Inc. To ensure the quality from is consistent with other missions, we need to quantify their accuracy retrieval uncertainty carefully. In this work, Wet Profile (wet temperature profile) 7 September 2021 31 October 2022, processed University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), COSMIC-2 (Constellation Observing Meteorology, Ionosphere, Climate-2/Formosa Mission 7) are evaluated through comparison NOAA-20 Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) microwave sounder measurements collocated RS41 radiosonde measurements. Through Community Radiative Transfer Model (CRTM) simulation, convert retrievals ATMS brightness (BT) at sounding channels CH07 CH14 (temperature channels), weighting function peak heights 8 km 35 km, CH19 CH22 (water vapor ranging 3.2 6.7 compare simulations over ocean. HerMES: The SPIRE confusion limit*
We report on the sensitivity of SPIRE photometers on the Herschel Space Observatory. Specifically, we measure the confusion noise from observations taken during the Science Demonstration Phase of the Herschel Multi-tiered Extragalactic Survey. Confusion noise is defined to be the spatial variation of the sky intensity in the limit of infinite integration time, and is found to be consistent amon...
متن کاملSPIRE/EPI-SPIRE Model-Based Multi-modal Information Retrieval from Large Archives
In this paper, we describe a new paradigm for information retrieval in which the retrieval target is based on a model. Three types of models – linear, finite state, and knowledge models are discussed. These information retrieval scenarios often arise from applications such as environmental epidemiology, oil/gas production and exploration, and precision agriculture/forestry. Traditional model-ba...
متن کاملThe Herschel-SPIRE submillimetre spectrum of Mars*
We have obtained the first continuous disk averaged spectrum of Mars from 450 to 1550 Ghz using the Herschel-SPIRE Fourier-transform spectrometer. The spectrum was obtained at a constant resolution of 1.4 GHz across the whole band. The flux from the planet is such that the instrument was operated in “bright source” mode to prevent saturation of the detectors. This was the first successful use o...
متن کاملGolding's The Spire as an Architectonic Novel
In his article "Golding's The Spire as an Architectonic Novel" Stephan Schaffrath analyzes William Golding's work as an excellent example of one of Mikhail Bakhtin's early critical concepts. In contrast to most literary entertainment which thrives on the readers' suspension of disbelief, The Spire challenges readers to actively and consciously interpret its text, thus raising readers' awareness...
